Satellite & off-grid
When the only network is a constellation.
Iridium, Starlink and Swarm provide IP — Beacons treats that IP like any other. LoRaWAN and Meshtastic are brokered: a gateway translates Beacons signaling into the radio's native packets. Off-grid still gets a fleet.
What you get.
- Iridium / Starlink / Swarm: standard Linux daemon over satellite IP
- LoRaWAN gateway acts as a brokered T4 peer
- Meshtastic mesh — same broker model
- Maritime, aviation, polar — the architecture does not care
- Cellular fallback when terrestrial cells are in range
