Cellular · Particle

Cellular MCU + cloud, integrated.

Particle ships cellular hardware (Argon, Boron) and the cloud platform together. Beacons plugs Particle's cellular layer in alongside everyone else so Particle devices on cellular become full T5 peers; on Wi-Fi they fall back to the T4 brokered model.

What it gets you.

  • Hybrid T4 (Wi-Fi brokered) / T5 (cellular direct) per device
  • Tight hardware integration (Argon, Boron, Tracker)
  • Same Beacons fleet, same audit trail
  • Particle SDK + beacons-sdk co-exist on-device

How it slots in

A CellularProvider implementation.

For Particle Tracker fleets, this is the simplest path to add identity-rooted mesh networking without changing the device firmware story.

Plugged into the same CellularProvider trait every other provider implements — Telnyx, Twilio, Soracom, Hologram, 1NCE, Particle. The fleet operator picks one or more providers per fleet, and Beacons routes ordering, activation, and usage queries to the right one. See cellular overview.
